(RAWS: At least one parent with some unresolved control and/or abuse issues; the concert was nearly a year-and-a-half ago:)

“An 11-year-old girl was not harmed by going to a Pink concert and her attendance there isn’t evidence of bad parenting, a family court judge in Ocean County said.

Quoting lines from the 1939 film ‘Gone With the Wind’ and referencing Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, Superior Court Judge Lawrence R. Jones said

singer-songwriter Pink may have some suggestive moves and lyrics, but she’s an artist whose works aren’t necessarily inappropriate for pre-teens.

Jones, whose 37-page decision contained a brief history of rock-and-roll and a commentary on the increasing use of judges as referees for warring divorced parents, was asked to intervene in the case of a divorced couple arguing over their daughter’s attendance of the Dec. 11, 2013, Pink concert at the Prudential Center in Newark.”
